Reader Appreciation Award *Aww*

Guess what, guys? I’ve been nominated for a Reader Appreciation Award. I didn’t expect this so soon in my blogging career. I’m blushing and flattered and probably more pleased with myself than I should be.

Thank you so much, Sam, for making this shitty day sunshiney! Just so you guys know, Sam Whiteoak writes a totally hilarious blog from across the pond (I’ve always wanted to say that!) calledย Normal for Norfolk. She and I are similar in many ways, except she speaks with an awesome accent and doesn’t eat meat. Go read it.

Recipients of the award are asked to:

  1. Identify the awards and who gave them to you.
  2. Post the Logo on your blog.
  3. Share 7 items about yourself.
  4. Nominate 5-10 other bloggers to receive this award, and notify them on their blogs.

So, MY nominees are:

  1. http://leftofplumb.com/
  2. http://readingandchickens.com/
  3. http://blog.karilynncollins.com
  4. http://onejourneyblog.blogspot.com/
  5. http://thirtythreadbaremercies.wordpress.com/

If I left anyone out, I’m sorry that I’m so lazy and forgetful. Also, I didn’t nominate you if you had already been nominated before me – BUT THAT DOESN’T MEAN I DON’T LOVE YOU. I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings.

Seven things about me…hmm…

  1. I exaggerate a lot. Probably more than anyone you know.
  2. I drink my body weight in Diet Dr. Pepper on a weekly basis.
  3. I’m an official expert on British Lit. No, I am not bragging or exaggerating; I have the degrees and the book collection to prove it.
  4. My Great Grandfather was a commercial artist. He was also an alcoholic, which means we have more in common than I’d like to think.
  5. I cry over EVERYTHING. Laughter, anger, a touching movie, you moved my furniture without asking; you name it, I’ve cried over it. It’s a really annoying reflex.
  6. I ALWAYS have tissue somewhere on my person, because I have really bad allergies, and I’m often sick or recovering from being sick.
  7. I have read approximately one half of Shakespeare’s plays. This is not a project to jump into lightly.

So there you have it; five (well, six) fantabulous blogs and seven things you probably didn’t want to know about me. I think my work here is done.
